GARBAGEMEN - review
Noise For Heroes (Steve Gardner)
THE GARBAGEMAN - Blindman/Song And Legend (Hiljaiset Levyt)
"This is an ultra hi fidelity laserdigital stereo test pressing. Therefore before playing make
sure there is no other electronic equipment plugged in at the same room because of the risk
of electronic adjustment overloading. Thank you." That's what it says on the label, but these
guys understand music better than technology. "Song And Legend" is a fairly long and epic
sounding piece of trash rock that degenerates into some really cool and raw guitar jamming
that sounds like it ought to be on the Crypt label. "Blindman" sounds like something that
could've been done by the Buzzcocks if they were extremely drunk. At first it seems like a
bunch of racket, but after a while it starts to sound like it's really fantastic, especially when
the chorus rolls around. Further listening reveals that it probably IS just a bunch of racket,
but it's great stuff anyway. Comes with a bag for disposing of sanitary napkins with
instructions in four different languages.
